Scale-accurate grid
Calibrate the sheet, overlay a measured grid, and snap devices and cable to real-world spacing so markup matches Dist.
- Open the sheet and run auto-scale or enter the printed ratio until Dist matches a known dimension.
- Turn the grid on. Auto spacing follows the sheet scale; pick 1', 6", or metric cells when the job needs a tighter tick.
- Enable snap so new marks, devices, and cable vertices land on grid intersections. Hold Alt to place off-grid.
- Keep the same scale when you move to the cable planner so homerun length and voltage-drop math stay on that sheet.
